Extracts high pressure, high temperature, 302°F (150°C) or greater, geothermal brine solution from production wells deep within the earth that flashes into two-phase fluid as it reaches the surface. The produced steam drives a steam turbine. Concentrated brine solution and excess condensed steam are returned to the earth via injection wells.

Binary Plant
Utilizes low to medium enthalpy brine solution from geothermal wells or from the outlet of a flash plant to heat a motive fluid. This causes the motive fluid to vaporize and drive a turbine. Cooled brine solution is returned to the earth via injection wells while the motive fluid is condensed and returned to the front of the binary unit, where it will be utilized again via a closed-loop system.
