Ecolab sponsors Nature Conservancy report analyzing the state of water resources in China

20 de abril de 2016

The Nature Conservancy has released the China Urban Water Blueprint, a new report sponsored by Ecolab, which analyzes the state of water resources in China’s 30 largest and fastest growing cities. The report offers science-based recommendations for natural solutions – including reforestation and improving agricultural practices– that can be integrated alongside traditional infrastructure to improve water security for people and nature.

While at least one-third of China’s lakes and rivers are too polluted for human use, the report reveals that if natural solutions were applied to roughly 1.4 million hectares, sediment and nutrient pollution could be measurably reduced – by at least 10 percent – in small and medium sized water catchments.
